Merry Christmas to all! I pray that 2012 is the best year yet for you and your family.
This might not be the complete schedule, but it’s a start.
Wed., Jan. 4- Spirit House is open from 6:30 – 8:00. We’ll also meet with the retreat team to finalize plans.
Sunday, Jan. 8- Rel. Ed. class at 4:15. Important meeting about our summer trip (to Tennessee) and the Archdiocesan Youth Rally will be at 6:30. Parents are invited to join us.
Wed., Jan. 11- Study Hall from 5:30 – 7:00. House is open from 7:00 – 8:00.
Saturday, Jan. 14 – Sunday, Jan. 15: Deep Freeze Retreat at St. Margaret’s in Bayou La Batre, starting at 10:00 a.m. This has become one our favorite events every year. This year’s theme is “Celebrate You, Celebrate Me”, and starts with an appreciation of self and moves on to explore relationships with family and friends. The scope then widens to community. Friends are welcome, but please let me know ahead of time so I can be prepared to feed them. You need to bring your pillow, sleeping bag, air mattress (if you want to), and personal items. Lunch, dinner, dessert and breakfast will be served. Bring snacks. The retreat will end after the 11:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, Jan. 15th.
The cost is $20. You must also turn in your permission slip by the time you arrive. I don’t want to send you home because you forgot it. The permission slip will be put on the website by Jan. 3rd , and I’ll have some available on the 4th and 8th .
If you want to follow me, I’ll be leaving our church parking lot at 9:15a.m..
Wed., Jan. 18- Study Hall from 5:30 – 7:00. House is open from 7:00 – 8:00.
Sunday, Jan. 22- Tentative: We are looking at having a pro-life rally, starting at Claire’s Hope on Sage Ave. After touring it, we will hold a candle walk to St. Pius, where we’ll have dinner with their youth group. More details will come after I speak with Fr. Vrazel.

Weekend of Jan. 29-30: We’ll plan this a little later. I’m trying to invite the young people from St. Mary’s Home to our place to spend the afternoon for Gym Day.
REMINDER: Make your plans for our Archdiocesan Youth Rally with Jesse Manibusan on Feb. 25th. It will be a fantastic day! Permission slip will be posted on the web by Jan. 3rd. Cost is $35, including his cd.
