Angels on a Mission
Angels on a Mission is a service club for 5th thru 8th graders of our parish. We have one or two activities monthly, either after school or on weekends. For those attending St. Dominic, a newsletter is sent via the Wednesday folders. For students of other schools, I send a newsletter through the CCD classes or by mail. If you are currently not a member, but would like to join, give me a call.
It’s that time of year again; time to sign up for the most enjoyable, rewarding experience for 5th – 8th graders. We are ready to get “Angels on a Mission” started. For those who are unfamiliar with this group, we are a service organization, dedicated to guiding our young people to spread their wings, so that they can be a bigger part of their community. We plan many activities during the year, for both our parish, as well as many other groups that need our help. Past activities have included organizing 6 activities with the Regional School for the Deaf and Blind, raking elderly parishioners’ yards, making heating pads for arthritis patients, and throwing a party for all of the MARC homes. These and many other projects await our students if they sign up.
We meet at least once a month after school, and occasionally on Saturday. Due to sports, we try to pick different days of the week to meet, so that if there is a conflict one month, the student can try again for the next activity.
STUDENTS: If you would like to become an active member of our group, please fill out the information on the form. NOTE: You MUST sign up every year for a new commitment to the group. Otherwise, you will be left out of the mailings.
PARENTS: If you would like to be a volunteer for any or all of our activities, I need to know. (Just fill out this form.) Drivers will need to fill out several forms that I will get to you. The sooner we do that, the easier it is for me to schedule events.
I could also use help with organizing activities this year. If you are willing to be on the Parent Advisory committee, please note that on the sheet.

**Our first organizational meeting will be Tuesday, Aug. 26th from 3:20 – 4:00 in Rm. 5B. Go to carpool first- then return to the room. Please be picked up on time in the Church parking lot.
