I.  Objective:  Gross Motor Skill Development

Examples:  Manipulatives- Long Jump Rope activities, parachute activities and tumbling activities.

Evaluation: “I can” checklist

 

II.  Objective:  Eye – Foot coordination

            Examples: Ball handling activities.

            Evaluation:  Skills Test

 

III.  Objective:  Fitness-Improved coordination, Endurance, and Strength.

            Evaluation:  1st Presidential fitness test

 

IV.  Rhythms

            Examples:  Lummi Sticks, Square Dance, Musical Carpet Squares, Going to Kentucky, and Hokey Pokey

                                                4-8           2nd Quarter

 

Objectives:  To provide large muscle activity with developmental potential.

                    To provide opportunities to improve eye-hand, eye-foot coordination.

                    To develop an understanding of the rules and our ability to follow the rules.

                    To improve interaction and cooperation among peers.

 

Unit I.  Flag Football Skills

            Examples:  Rules, play, and pass-catch.

            Evaluation:  Written test on rules.

 

Unit II.  Soccer Skills

            Examples:  Dribble, pass, shooting, tournament play

            Evaluation:  Written test on rules.

 

Objective:  Physical Fitness

            Example:  Circuit training, fitness games.

            Evaluation:  Weekly fitness test and 1st Presidential Fitness Test
