The Monsignor Murphy Fund for Education
The Monsignor Murphy Fund for Education, Today, Tomorrow, Beyond
In its seventh year, the Saint Dominic School Annual Fund began March 1, 2009. The Annual Fund is a way for all members of the Saint Dominic family, including parishioners, alumni, school families, grandparents, and friends, to contribute to the future of OUR school.
As you know, the school has a history of excellence in providing our youth with a traditional Catholic education. In order to maintain these high standards while we continue to develop and grow, we must always make improvements and enhancements. School budget constraints limit the amount of improvements that can be financed through annual school operating revenues. It then becomes necessary to fuel growth with other sources of income. The Monsignor Murphy Fund for Education will provide the means for Saint Dominic Catholic School to prosper... today, tomorrow, and beyond.
Through your generosity and support we collected $22,416 during our 2009 Annual Fund. These funds will allow for the following:
- St. Dominic Catholic School will be able to purchase technological hardware to aid instruction, such as additional LCD projectors, E-Beams and laptop computers
- Our Fine Arts and Word Language programs to continue operating at the highest possible level
- A minimum of 10 faculty and staff members will be able to attend training seminars and workshops
- Additional materials needed to enhance our current Science series will be purchased
- A contribution was made to our endowment fund, which helps secure the financial stability of our school
- Families who desire the quality education that St. Dominic Catholic School has to offer were provided financial assistance
A special thank you to Mrs. Martha Mundine, Principal, and Fr. Jim Cink, Pastor, for their support and dedication to the Monsignor Murphy Fund for Education.
