The Monsignor Murphy Fund for Education
March 1, 2008 once again marked the beginning of our Annual Fund campaign. The Monsignor Murphy Fund for Education is designed to provide parishioners, school families, alumni, grandparents, parish leaders, faculty and staff the opportunity to contribute to the success of our school. Last year the fund raised $65,154 bringing the six year total to just over $194,000. The campaign total was made possible through a gift by the Fowler family - Cortez, Jo Ann, Cort (SDS Class of '81), Chris (SDS Class of '84), Craig (SDS Class of '85) and their families. The family matched dollar for dollar all contributions received by July 31, 2007.
Monies raised through the 2008 Annual Fund will be allocated as follows:
Science and Technology 30% Endowment 20%
Fine Arts and World Language Programs 25% Financial Assistance 5%
Faculty and Staff Professional Development 15% Annual Fund Expense 5%
Brochures and pledge cards are available in the Development Office and the Parish Office. Gifts to The Monsignor Murphy Fund for Education are tax deductible.
